Will Fitflops really tone your legs and butt as promised?

If you have ever ordered anything online from Bath and Bodyworks, you’ve probably received several ads over the last few weeks advertising the Fitflops. The Fitflops are flip flops made with special technology that is supposed to help you work your thighs, butt, and calves while you walk. The ads promise a workout that will supposedly take off inches just by walking. The concept is extremely appealing.

As is often true of most advertising promises, the benefits touted by Fitflops advertisers aren’t as significant as promised. Walking in Fitflops will not result in slimmer thighs. That is unless, of course, you are increasing your usual speed, length of time, or distance travelled. But just walking in Fitflops will not tone those muscles.

Do cell phones really cause brain cancer?

For years there has been speculation over whether cell phones could cause cancer. There have been many debates over the answer with no clear cut answer emerging. Some discredit those warning of the possible link between cancer and cell phone use as proponents of the “sky is falling” school of thought. But the argument has continued anyway.

As the popularity of cell phone use has grown, so has the concern. When cell phones first emerged, they were a luxury item that most people couldn’t afford. Now it is shocking to discover anyone that doesn’t have a cell phone. But this trend has occurred only in very recent years. It generally takes many years, sometimes even decades, for all of the associated problems to come to light.

Death by suffocation: How whippets can kill you!

For anyone that hasn’t heard of it before, whippets are the inhalation of the pressurized gas known as nitrous oxide. A common source for individuals that participate in this illicit activity is whip cream cans. The inhalation of nitrous oxide leaves the person with a feeling of giddiness and loss of inhibitions. The gas works by suppressing the area of the brain that maintains inhibitions. Though most people that do whippets are not trying to kill themselves, death is an imminent risk of whippets.

How eating Tilapia can be dangerous for your health?

If you are even a little health conscious, you probably know that the essential fatty acids (EFA) are an integral part of good health. In addition, EFA’s promote healthy skin, hair, and nails. The most notable among the EFA’s are the Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. The American Heart Association strongly recommends Omega 3 fatty acids to maintain good heart health. The AHA recommends you consume at least two servings of fish each week to ensure your body receives enough Omega 3 fatty acids to benefit you.
