What causes cellulite?

Cellulite is a condition that plagues women of many sizes. You do not have to be overweight to have cellulite. Cellulite is most commonly present on the thighs, buttocks, and pelvic regions, giving the skin a cottage cheese like appearance. The causes of cellulite and the conditions contributing to cellulite are numerous. Genetics do play a role. And though we have no control over genetics, there are other contributing factors that cause cellulite you can control.

How do I keep off the weight after the diet?

People always complain that they regain all of the weight they lost while dieting after the diet is over. This is a very common problem. Most people don’t understand why they regain the weight. The answer, as usual, is very simple. They stopped. They stopped watching what they ate. They stopped paying attention to calorie content and portion size. And, they stopped exercising.

People assume there is an ‘end’ to the diet. Most people think that once they reach their goal weight, the diet is over. They believe they can now resume their normal eating and exercise habits and keep their new body. But the normal eating and exercise habits are what resulted in the extra weight in the first place. If you repeat habits that created a problem, the problem will reappear.

Painless ways to cut calories from your diet!

· Use light mayonnaise instead of regular mayonnaise on your sandwiches. One tablespoon of mayonnaise contains 100 calories and 11grams of fat. One tablespoon of Hellmans light mayo has only 45 calories and 4.5g of fat.

· Use mustard instead of mayo on your sandwiches. Most mustards have 0 calories and 0 fat grams. It just might be worth it. (more…)

What are the benefits of water?

Have you ever stopped to think about how many liquid calories you consume daily? If you’re like most people, it doesn’t really cross your mind. But if you are serious about losing weight, you need to start paying closer attention. One serving of soda contains 150 calories. Sport drinks calorie content is comparable. Just cutting down on the calories you guzzle can result in weight loss. Try keeping track of the number of sodas and juices you drink everyday. You might be surprised at how many extra calories you add to your daily intake just with what you drink.
