Are free weights really better than weight machines?

The experts are always debating over the best way to do just about everything. So how are you supposed to know which method is most effective. If the experts cannot come to a definitive conclusion, how are you supposed to figure it out? The best rule of thumb seems to be trial and error. Truth be told, every person has a unique body make up that effects the way diet and exercise impacts each individual’s body. There isn’t one formula of diet and exercise that will work for everyone.

Stroke risk factors and how to lower your risk!

Stroke risk factors are determined by heredity, lifestyle, and sometimes the environment. You should be familiar with the risk factors. Knowing whether you are at a higher risk could help you recognize the signs of a stroke faster and save your life. Knowing the risk factors could also help you lower your risk of having a stroke. By making changes in your life that affect the likelihood of your suffering a stroke, you could prevent a stroke from happening to you.

Some risk factors for stroke you cannot change. If you have had a stroke or heart attack before, your chances of stroke are 10 times higher than someone who hasn’t. Men are more likely to suffer a stroke than women. But women are more likely to die from a stroke than a man. A family history of stroke increases your risk of stroke. And the risk of stroke increases with age. The general rule is that after 55 your risk of stroke doubles every ten years.

Get rid of cellulite without cosmetic surgery!

You cannot get rid of cellulite. You can hide it. You can try to minimize the appearance of it. But you will not be able to eliminate the cellulite plaguing your thighs, hips, butt, and everywhere else you don’t want it. So what are you supposed to do, just accept it? Wear one of those bathing suits with a little skirt that your grandmother loves so much? Or maybe just comfort yourself by looking at the pictures on the cover of the gossip magazines highlighting the cellulite on skinny stars?

What are the benefits of water?

Have you ever stopped to think about how many liquid calories you consume daily? If you’re like most people, it doesn’t really cross your mind. But if you are serious about losing weight, you need to start paying closer attention. One serving of soda contains 150 calories. Sport drinks calorie content is comparable. Just cutting down on the calories you guzzle can result in weight loss. Try keeping track of the number of sodas and juices you drink everyday. You might be surprised at how many extra calories you add to your daily intake just with what you drink.
