Get rid of cellulite without cosmetic surgery!

You cannot get rid of cellulite. You can hide it. You can try to minimize the appearance of it. But you will not be able to eliminate the cellulite plaguing your thighs, hips, butt, and everywhere else you don’t want it. So what are you supposed to do, just accept it? Wear one of those bathing suits with a little skirt that your grandmother loves so much? Or maybe just comfort yourself by looking at the pictures on the cover of the gossip magazines highlighting the cellulite on skinny stars?

While some of those strategies may provide a temporary solution, they still don’t solve the cellulite problem. You don’t want to hide cellulite; you want to rid yourself of cellulite. But if you believe all of the news articles concerning cellulite, you may have already resigned yourself to a lifetime of suffering with it. After all, cellulite has been labeled as a chronic condition. Well, don’t despair. All though the experts have stated otherwise, there is a way to rid your body of cellulite without cosmetic surgery.

Cellulite occurs when the fat deposits stored in pockets just below the surface of the skin are pushed up through the connective tissue surrounding it. The connective tissue creates the upright chambers the fat is stored in. As the fat cells expand or the connective tissues become tighter around the fat cells, the fat cells are pushed up towards the surface of the skin and become visible. This creates the appearance of dimpling through the skin that is often referred to as the cottage cheese effect.

To rid yourself of the unwanted appearance of cellulite, there are several things you must do.

  • Start by drinking plenty of water. Dehydration causes the cellulite to worsen. By drinking a lot of water, you hydrate the connective tissue surrounding the fat deposits. This will fill in the dimpling between the fat cells, creating a smoother surface on the skin.
  • Reduce the amount of soda you drink to one serving a day. Soda further dehydrates your body and adds a substantial number of calories to your daily diet. The extra calories, if not burned, will result in additional fat cells being deposited. And this will worsen the appearance of cellulite on your skin.
  • Exercise! You probably are tired of hearing this answer. But exercise has countless benefits. Burning fat cells is among the immeasurable benefits attributed to exercise. You will shrink and eliminate fat cells through exercise. Cellulite is the appearance of fat cells through the skin, right? So if you burn off the fat cells, what will be left to cause the dimpling of your skin?

The consensus is that cellulite cannot be eliminated without cosmetic surgery. But when my youngest son followed me into the dressing room at a local clothing shop and told me my butt was wrinkled, I knew I had to do something. I already exercised everyday. I decided to increase the intensity of my workout.

Never one to drink water because I hated the bland taste, I began drinking at least 40ozs of water everyday. I cut my soda consumption from two or three cans or glasses each day to one serving. I saved my one serving of soda for the last drink of the day. And I rubbed L’Oreal’s Sublime Anti-Cellulite Gels ($13.89) on the cellulite located on my butt every night.

I no longer have to walk backwards in my bathing suit to avoid anyone noticing the cellulite. In fact, I no longer see any cellulite on my butt. The experts tell you that cellulite is determined by genetics. That is true. And they say there is nothing you can do to permanently rid your body of the unsightly cottage cheese dimples. But I can happily report that after one year of following the instructions above, I am still cellulite free. Hopefully it works for you too.
